David Bowie: ‘Lazarus’

David Bowie just released the music video for his magnificent new single, ‘Lazarus’ — a wonderfully brooding, sax-riddled track, which is also featured in Bowie’s own current off-Broadway musical of the same name.

The music video itself is a hauntingly understated affair, all in 1:1 format, where Bowie quite literally puts himself back in the closet.

‘Lazarus’ is the second single off Bowie’s 25th album, ★ (or ‘Blackstar’ for us mortals), which will be released tomorrow, on January 8th — Bowie’s own birthday.

Tame Impala: ‘Let It Happen’

It’s been a few years since we last heard from Tame Impala, and their particular blend of 60’s psych and pop brilliance has been sorely missed. Until now.

They just dropped a brand new — almost 8 minutes long — track, driven forward by a hypnotizing groove and a marching beat. Oh, and they also announced a North American tour. Sweet.

Mew: ‘Satellites’

One of the biggest Danish musical export successes of recent time just dropped a video to their stellar comeback track ‘Satellites’.

‘Satellites’ is their first single since the return of original bassist Johan Wohlert, and you suddenly realize just how much his musical presence in the band was missed, when the majestic groove of this track plunges you right back to your teenage years in the best way possible.

Mew will release their first album in six years, titled ‘+ -’, on April 27th.
